Hogan offers three of the world’s leading personality assessment tools for business. The three main assessments are: HPI, HDS, and MVPI.
1. Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI)
Personality assessment is rapidly becoming a “best practice” for selecting and developing talented employees. The HPI continues to be the industry leader. This inventory outlines the strengths and skills that enhance an individual’s career and identifies the characteristics of an individual that others notice quickly.

2. Hogan Development Survey (HDS)

Reports
Based on these three assessments Hogan offers an extensive range of reports that are available in a variety of formats, they can be linked to existing HR systems and customized to meet a customer’s specific needs. They provide valuable information to companies for the processes of candidate selection and development of employees.
Basis – This report provides critical assessment information for making selection decisions, and then incorporates the information into a behavioral interviewing system for the hiring manager.
Suitability Template – This report provides cut-off scores and a hiring recommendation; it requires validation work prior to implementation.
Career Builder – This report uses HPI results to identify strengths, shortcomings, and detailed tips for development.
Interpretive Report – This report contains a description of the measurement scales, a graph, and a narrative of behavioral implications for each scale.
Management Builder – This report uses HPI results to highlight the most effective techniques for managing an employee.
Leadership Forecast Series – This series provides an in-depth evaluation of leadership competencies, potential career derailers, and individual values.
Personality Executive Summary – This report provides a comprehensive and in-depth summary of a candidate’s performance strengths, challenges, and values.
Career Compass – This report uses MVPI results to outline the occupational significance of a person’s core values and provides career planning information.
