Rita joined PROACTEL in 2008 as Vice President, but had begun her career in South Florida as a Training & Development Specialist with American Express. Her particular strengths are in recruitment, career coaching/outplacement consulting, training, and compensation. Twice in her career she had established her own consulting practice (most recently as Staffing Management, Inc.) and since 2006 supported outplacement business development for Challenger, Gray & Christmas in Florida. From 2001 to 2005, she was Miami's Managing Director for DBM where she coached and managed new career paths for over 250 executives and professionals and provided seminars. From 1989-1995, Rita was an executive search consultant with Corporate Advisors in Miami where two-thirds of her clients were multinational corporations.

In Human Resources, she distinguished herself as the Career Development Manager for Gould Computer Systems, HR Manager for Siemens, HR Director at Avatar Holdings, and VP of Consulting Services for Executive Manning Corporation. She has conducted management seminars throughout the US, Puerto Rico and Europe. Rita has been adjunct faculty at Miami-Dade College, a guest lecturer at Northeastern University, Nova University, University of Miami and Florida International University. She currently serves as a student’s mentor in FIU’s Women’s Center Mentor Program.

Rita holds a B.A. degree from the University of Massachusetts and completed graduate studies at Boston University. She holds numerous certifications for sales and management training, mediation, and assessment; she is certified by the National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS) as a Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC). Since 2004 she has served as the designated Facilitator for the Miami Chapter of the internationally prestigious Women Presidents’ Organization.
