Position Description
The Store Manager will oversee the store operations and will be responsible for increasing of sales of an $8-10M operation. The candidate will understand the needs of upscale multicultural customers and will be responsible for successfully managing all areas of the store including operations, to guarantee success in the achievement of revenue and financial goals.
Reports to General Area Director and supervises 4 store managers and about 50 people.
Experience/Skills Required
The candidate should have 5 to 10 years of experience in the retail industry or experience in a similar position.
* Supports the Managers in creating daily schedules.
* Responsible for managing store payroll expense plan; visual aspects of the store, and maintains daily focus on Service=Selling.
* Partners with the Store Manager – Training, to evaluate effectiveness of scheduled training and identifies additional training needs of the staff.
* Works with the Inventory Coordinator to manage and orchestrate the entire store inventory efforts, ensuring accurate inventory.
* Evaluates all company and store-specific reporting and applies that knowledge to driving sales and affecting positive change in the store.
* Leadership Skills
* Store management or district management of upscale retail store.
* Must have customer service skills, and strong sales approach to meet goals.
* Must be people oriented: focus on employees and their development (240 hr training /employee).
* Listening & Coaching skills
* Attention to detail, 45hr/ week, flexible for more hours.
