Our client provides all the support needed in setting up a solid package of employee benefits for office(s) abroad. Our client is a well known network organization of leading insurers from more than eighty countries.
Position Description
The Regional Director will be in charge of new business development through the company in the region; overall promotion of the company throughout the region and business development within the region (existing clients/prospects). This includes management of a portfolio of existing multinational clients at parent level located in the region and acquisition of new multinational clients. This position is home based, but will require some travel. Reporting to the Director Americas, responsibilities will include:
• Business development through our Clients’ Network Partners in the region:
- Ensure co-operation from the Network Partners to expand company linked business.
- Monitor progress based on Network Partners’ business plan.
• Overall promotion of company throughout the region:
- Promote company services with all important parties in the international benefits
field i.e. brokers/consultants etc.
• Business development (existing clients/prospects)- In the area of the management of existing multinational clients:
- Ensure,in conjunction with all company network partners – the maintenance of
the business written worldwide for that multinational
- Ensure the company yearly business plan related to portfolio handled is achieved
- Sustain – at HQ level – the local account management of company network partners
- Deliver and present the company multinational reports
- Ensure good maintenance of the Multinational pooling agreement and its
appendices
- Have regular contacts with the client and/or involved broker/consultant to gather
as much relevant intelligence about the client/competition as possible
- Report on a regular basis the status/development of the portfolio
• In the area of the acquisition of new multinational clients:
- Ensure that the company’s yearly business plan related to the region is
achieved
- Take regular action in the market through direct contact and/or
broker/consultants to build up a prospect pipeline
- Exhaust and encourage company Network Partner activity
- Report on a regular basis the status/development of the portfolio
• Liason with Worldwide Network partners (insurance companies), other Regional Directors, Account Representatives and Account Technical Administrators
Experience/Skills Required
• Goal oriented and product-driven, with strong work ethic and leadership skills
• The ability to implement strategies and see them through to completion.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Time management and organization skills.
• Fluent in English & Spanish
