Director of Sales North America & Caribbean

Our client is one of the leading passenger airlines in the Americas. The company and its affiliates serve more than 60 destinations around the world through an extensive network that offers full connectivity within North America, Latin America, Europe and the South Pacific.

Position Description
Plan, lead and manage commercial initiatives and processes in North America and the Caribbean. This will contribute to the maximization of the company’s revenue while building and strengthening customers’ loyalty through world class service.

  • Plans and develops the sales strategy, goals and objectives for the different North American and the Caribbean geographies for the Passenger organization adapting the strategy to the different markets’ needs
  • Leads and supports the different geographies (USA , Canada and the Caribbean) ensuring accomplishment of goals and objectives, compliance with procedures and the use of adequate tools and resources
  • Creates and executes the area’s sales plan based on the holding’s and area’s strategies sustaining market potential and market share
  • Identifies and drives all new and current sales initiatives that support the strategy of the different geographies always aiming at building and strengthening customers’ loyalty in the US
  • Explores knowledge of competitive trends and opportunities in the market and conducts continuous internal and external benchmark supporting the team in the implementation of sales strategies.
  • Develops and implements the team’s annual goals and performance measurement that include sales goals, customer satisfaction goals and the measurement of success of current and new initiatives
  • Evaluates and defines optimal organizational structure including team compensation, development and structure
  • Builds and develops strong relationships with internal and external clients at the top management level.

Experience/Skills Required
To be successful in this position you must possess and effectively demonstrate the following skills:

  • Bachelor in Engineering or Business Administration
  • MBA
  • At least 5 years of experience in Sales and/or Business Development
  • Experience leading high performance teams
  • Strong leadership, analytical and strategic skills
  • Dynamic personality
  • Flexible, adaptable to change
  • Business-to-business experience
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish
  • Ability to travel 30%+ of the time
